Forest School
Year 5 had an amazing time at Forest School last half-term, so much so they and myself didn’t want it to end. For me, as their teacher, it was enlightening and wonderful to see a different side of the children, other than being in the classroom. The great outdoors, collaborative team work and a little more freedom does wonders for the soul.
The children built dens collaboratively; made cut-wood medallions; whittled wood; learnt to light fires; made bamboo ornaments; shared ideas and stories; built a matrix; played games; toasted marshmallows/brioche on the fire; and much more. It was fabulous fun!
