Forest School Summer Term

Year one have thoroughly enjoyed their Forest School sessions. We have been exploring our senses whilst outdoors and using them to investigate our surroundings.

Since planting our potato seeds back in the spring we have taking care of them in our yard. However when it came time to harvest them we did feel a little worried because we had had a long spell of hot sunshine followed by some heavy downpours. Our plants did not look the as healthy as they had been earlier on. However, our predictions were proved wrong as we managed to harvest our best crop of potatoes ever! We used the potatoes in Forest School to make our own potato soup and flat bread on the camp fire.
