Meet the Author, Elys Dolan – 19/04/24
On Friday 19th April, 10 children from across year 3 and 4 joined the Lancashire Library Service at Springhill Primary School for an exciting workshop with authors, Elys Dolan. Elys is the author of fabulously funny books, ‘Rex: Dinosaur in Disguise’ which follow the story of a T-Rex trying to survive undercover in the modern world.
During the workshop, Elys read small snippets of the story, and used inspiration from the children to create a new character – Bob Slime! Harriet in Year 4 was even chosen to decide on his shape (blob) and his hair (pink!). Very good choices Harriet!
We had a fantastic time and all of the children were gifted a signed copy of Elys’ second book. We will be purchasing some copies for the school library too.
Thanks Elys!
