Year 1 and 2 Animal Olympics

For the last three weeks 10 children from year 1 and 2 ave been attending an early morning club to prepare for an Animal Olympic Competition. The team, along with 17 other local schools/teams took part in the event at Accrington Academy on Thursday 9th May. The event consisted of 10 animal themed multi-skills events. Each member of the team had to complete the challenge as many times as possible gaining points for their team. The early morning practice sessions paid off as the team were awarded the bronze medals. Well done to all team members and a big thank you Ava, Eli, Olivia and Betsy from year 6 for helping to prepare the team in the early morning sessions and to Josh Baynes for supporting the team at the event.
