Year 4- Local walk- 7th March
We had a wonderful time this morning on our first instalment of our work with the Ribble Rivers Trust. On our journey down to Howarth Art gallery, the children collected litter to help clean up the community. Once we arrived, we were able to visit their trout tank and learn more about the necessities to keep our environments clean to help our local river to thrive. We learnt more about the brown trout that we are rearing and then even got to design our very own fish. After looking at the Tiffany Glass and art collection, we returned to school with our newly crafted paper fish to try our hand and moving the trout up the rivers and over the wiers. Thank you to Emily from Ribble Rivers Trust and Steve their volunteer. We cannot wait for the next outing!
