During this year your child will build upon the skills they have developed in EYFS, gaining further independence and confidence. Phonics will continue to be of high importance in order to develop our reading and writing skills.
We will enhance our learning about the world through exciting creative curriculum topics based on enquiry such as; Do Penguins Sunbathe? Why was London Rebuilt? Are all plants the same? What did my grandparents play with? Are we united? How can a map help me find my way? Our learning will be supported through play in our exciting role play areas which change to link to each of our themes.
